Tracy Apartment Complex Club House Water Damage
A water pipe ruptured in the apartment clubhouse you see in the video. The manager of these luxury apartments needed it dried out in time to set up for an open house event scheduled to begin at 5 pm. Our office in Tracy was called in to start work at 9 am, which gave us just seven hours before the manager needed to get prepared.
The device you first see may look like a Segway, but it is much more than a people mover. This riding water extractor is called a “Rover,” and it is perfect for a thicker, commercial carpet like the one in the clubhouse. It is designed to draw out every drop of water trapped inside the carpet without harming the surface. Since our technicians can ride on and guide it, the Rover is perfect for larger rooms that need to dry quickly.
Glass walls and doors partially divide the clubhouse for smaller functions. They attract water to them, so we opened all the doors and then set up an LGR Dehumidifier in the largest room. An LGR can draw over 35 gallons out of the air in one day, so we were able to remove about nine gallons in the time we had ours in operation.
To keep the drying process constant, we set up a network of air movers throughout the rooms. You can see where we placed the devices to blow warm, dry air into the damp environment. As you follow the camera moving through the clubhouse, you can look at how we set them up to circulate through each room and force the damp, cool air outside.
Using this equipment, we finished our work on time, and the manager’s open house event started right at five o’clock. It is a perfect example of how we work to be Faster to Any Size Disaster, from a clubhouse to your house.
